Barça Set to Play Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans can be present under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
