Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A plane carrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The plane touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This incident isn't the first time that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has experienced mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to head back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
