Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim confesses he cannot conceal from his disappointing performance and believes it is normal that Old Trafford legends are criticizing him.
On Tuesday, the club's all-time goalscorer Wayne Rooney stated on his program that "the soul has vanished" from his former club.
The Portuguese manager has secured just 18 victories from his 49 games in charge, including nine out of thirty-three in the Premier League, where he has yet to secure back-to-back consecutive wins.
While high-level club insiders are certain that the INEOS chief remains supportive Amorim, an inability to beat newly promoted Sunderland on the weekend will trigger fresh speculation about his future heading into the upcoming two-week international break.
"It is expected," commented the Portuguese coach, when asked about Rooney's remarks. "You cannot escape from the outcomes."
"Furthermore you have the baggage from the previous campaign, [although] that period for me is irrelevant."

United's fans stayed supportive of their manager following last season's poor performance, when they ended up fifteenth in the league - their poorest showing since the 1973/74 demotion campaign - and were beaten in the European final, in the belief that the current campaign would be substantially better.
