The children's author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
